There is something extra special about getting to photograph a newborn when you already know and love their parents. Baby Ian’s newborn session here in Sioux Falls was one of those—so meaningful and just so much fun.
He was an absolute dream the entire time. Calm, cozy, and completely content… and let’s talk about that hair. The most gorgeous, full head of hair right from the start—truly the kind of newborn detail you never forget!!
One of my favorite parts of being a Sioux Falls newborn photographer (especially now as a mom myself) is getting to slow down and hear birth stories. Every experience is so different, and it’s something I never take for granted being invited into. There’s just something really special about those early days—the mix of exhaustion, love, and so much love all at once.
Sessions like this remind me why I love newborn photography so much. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about preserving this tiny, meaningful chapter and the story that comes with it.
